Auburn, Loomis, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento (and surrounding cities), Grass Valley, Lake Tahoe, and Lodi.
There's a wide range of decisions to make, starting with a Partial, a Full and finally a Complete renovation. The cost can start around 20k for a simple look, keeping some of the old and exceed 80k+ for a custom complete kitchen renovation.
Customers who select a partial kitchen upgrade usually keep their existing cabinets, do some lighting upgrade, choose a pre-fabricated slab (as shown above), get a new sink and fixtures, and add a new tile backsplash.
OPTIONS:
When going the full kitchen route we start by tearing the existing out and bing in all the new selections made by the customer. We can do a custom feature in any of our kitchen choices. This is just an example of where to start!
OPTIONS:
This route is the toughest one. It will add stress to anyones life. Understanding that the process will work out is paramount. It offers the biggest wow factor and can change an entire space.
OPTIONS:
*Actual pricing will be dependent upon final scope of work.
We partner with Build.com a Ferguson Plumbing company for our plumbing needs. We provide a link to a shared folder in build.com and when you select an item, we get to see what you picked and then can collaborate on the back end with our team to keep us on the same page. You also get our discounts.
You have several options to choose from for countertops in the kitchen. You can choose a pre-fabrication style, which is generally 110"x26" slabs with two edges bullnosed. This can be good if you select something without a bunch of patterns or veins. Quartz is a good product for this. The other option is to purchase full slabs and have a slab fabrication company perform the measurement and install. Quartz, quartzite, and granite are all popular products.
There's three choices for cabinets. Box store (depot), semi custom, and custom. We generally don't deal with box store, but we can. We have a few cabinet builders we work closely with to build and install cabinets for our clients. We can also leave the existing, and paint the boxes, doors, and drawers.
Flooring will usually depend on what else is going in around the house. Clients can choose between, tile, hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, or luxury vinyl planks.
We love upgrading the electrical. The needs of a kitchen has grown tremendously over the years. We want LED's with under cabinet lighting and we want it all dimmable. Lighting sets the tone in a kitchen!
This part takes some skill. It's not easy to select a backsplash tile while complimenting the slab. We will assist with determining a trim option, dealing with the electrical plugs, and selecting the right grout color.

How soon did your potential contractors answer your call? We strive to answer or call back same day or the next day. We added the "Schedule a Consultation" feature to avoid missing calls. Our team is still a "Bags On" crew. We are occasionally in an attic, performing a demolition, or around a noisy job site and simply cannot take a call. Feel free to follow up with a text message.
At Steinmark Construction, we are Licensed, Bonded, and Insured. Only work with a contractor who provides you with a license number (www.cslb.ca.gov - click the link to check). You also want to see a complete Home Improvement Contract. Make sure you READ the Contract!
There are countless stories of jobs gone wrong and needing to be completely redone, due to hiring an unlicensed, unqualified, or cheap contractor. Most contractors don't know their numbers and have no idea what it costs them to operate their business. This same contractor will bid a project to only realize it was bid too low and will be forced to spend a few days, weeks or months finishing your house with nothing left in the tank. How well do you think they are going to perform once they realize they are no longer making money? Will they take the time to make sure the detail work is dialed in? How many days would you work for free at your job before you decide to quit? The finish is the hardest part. You already know how this story ends.
Things go wrong even to the best of us. Hiring a contractor who has a well structured business means they will be able to come back to your house and perform any warranty or repair items without issue.
Yes we can. We have several options, a Partial, Full or Complete renovation. See our "Process Page" for more details and to set up a consultation from our home page.
Getting added to our construction schedule happens at completion of step 5 (see our Process page). We generally don't add clients to the build schedule until permits have been pulled (if required), and all items have been ordered and/or in route. You will be much happier rather than prematurely starting a project and potentially missing critical components.
The starting pricing and price point each level has a purpose. We want you to know what the average project is costing on kitchen and bath remodels. Flexibility comes into play when we sit down to go over your estimate, which is an opportunity to make some financial choices based off real numbers. We call this Value Engineering.
We have a strict policy with our team not to engage with our clients outside of our company. We have built fantastic trade partnerships and we want nothing to get in between that critical component. Unfortunately, when we're not part of the build process between a trade partner and client, we no longer have leverage. Worst case scenario is that we could have an issue with a client and a Subcontractor for a task we were not involved in. Hard lesson learned, but it's a no for us.
This depends on the scope of work and size of the project. We generally use a fixed contract for projects. We do offer a Cost Plus on larger projects and are willing to have a conversation on the difference between the two during our initial visit.
My first thought is absolutely! I have been a DIY'er my entire life. However, do you have the right tools, experience, and most of all, time? Quick scenario.. You decide to handle a task on your project. We have a schedule mapped out for a 10 week project and we purposely put your task on the schedule for a Saturday and Sunday. As we get closer, the timeline has slightly shifted and now the task needs to be done on Monday and Tuesday. Are you prepared to take off days from your normal job and what are we going to do in the event you cannot perform the task? Everyone we work with are pros and have a packed schedule, which can cause even further delay's if we need to wait. So, long story short.. Yes, you can self perform, but we will be having a conversation and we reserve the right to make the final decision.
