We have developed a solid process to onboard a new project. A renovation can be very tasking and often stressful. Following Our Process will ensure we don't miss any items prior to starting your project.
Let's have a chat. Tell us all about your project. We will discuss the scope of work, timeline, and budget. Yes, budget. This may be your first renovation or you may be looking for a new contractor. We completely understand that you may have no idea what current costs are. See our "What's the Cost page". This allows you to get an idea of cost to perform a Partial, Full, or Complete Remodel. Our goal is to see if we are a good fit to accomplish what you're looking for. If so, we can schedule a site visit.
During your site visit we will fine tune the projected scope of work, budget and timeline. More importantly we will get to the why.. What will this renovation do for you and how can we make sure we meet that goal.
Once we have put together your project overview, we will schedule an in-person meeting to review our proposal. This is an opportunity to make adjustments, sign contract, collect a deposit, and pencil you into our schedule. Once contract is signed we will pull necessary permits.
Not all projects require a professional designer. We do have a trade partnership with a designer. However, with our experience, we generally handle most items in house. During this process we will provide you with a list of Owner items to be selected and/or purchased, as well as a list of Builder items to be selected and purchased. We will work closely with you during this phase.
Once the selection process is complete, we finalize the construction schedule and add you to the official build calendar.
Prior to demolition day, your project manager will contact you to discuss how to you can best be prepared for the arrival of the team. We will identify all the emergency shut-offs, and discuss any safety concerns and define a workspace for the team.
Communication is key. We strive for daily communication with our clients. Your project manager will be the point of contact for the duration of the project. Lots of contractors can perform the work, but unfortunately few can finish. We hold ourselves and our team accountable to meet and exceed the industry standards.
Once the project is complete we will issue you a warranty date. Industry standards require a one year warranty. We have several warranty options to choose from. All manufactured products will be covered under the manufactures warranty. Your warranty will be selected at contract.
Whether you become a customer at step one or step nine, you have the opportunity to sign up for Steinmark Maintenance. We have several plans to choose from. We will come out and perform a full inspection on your home and identify critical items to be addressed. Once we address and/or repair those items we will put you on a maintenance plan. Much like a dental hygienist, we will see you every four to six months (depending on your plan) to perform critical tasks and keep your home running smoothly ensuring small problems don't become large ones.
